Automated Laser Welding and Cutting (as well as other processes such as engraving and heat treating) represents a large segment of the future of manufacturing for companies trying to remain competitive in the North American manufacturing environment. The speed, efficiency, uptime, quality outperforms conventional metal cutting and welding solutions on the market in many applications. When the application fits, the return on investment is exceptional, especially as overall system costs are becoming more and more competitive with traditional solutions.

Material Handling Robots

These robots can be installed to load and/or unload components from pallets, automation, mould machines, presses, CNC machining equipment, and other equipment. They can even incorporate vision or other sensing so that the parts are automatically loaded and unloaded with the appropriate orientation. We integrate safety area guarding of the robot cell to any linked equipment, including presses. (right image)

Assembly Robots & Scaras

These robots can incorporate vision or other sensing in order to orientate parts prior to assembly operations, and to verify installation. The unique characteristics of SCARA robots allow for high speed, 4 axis pick & place and assembly operations. Utilizing vision guidance, multi coordinated robots, force sensing, and custom end of arm tooling we can reduce the need for operator dependence in a wide variety of assembly processes. Welding Robots

Bos offers a number of robotic welding options to suit most welding applications. We can provide “off the shelf” weld cells from the major robot manufacturers and customize them to your specific needs using our own weld fixtures and robot/weld programming. If it’s more appropriate, we can create custom weld cells configured as standalone, multi robot, or multi-cell systems. In any case, Bos Innovations can incorporate many types of welding to suit your application, including resistance, MIG, and Laser. (right image)
